Just Change

Yea, so my day has flown by had a quick lunch a short break and a 5 minute twitter session first thing this morning. As i go through my Blogg-ic-tionary i notice once that the moods have changed this week.... from this weekends breakups, marriage scares, and love lockdowns... to contest winners, comedy, and change. I specifically want to speak about change. During one of my several but failed but enlightening relationships my counterpart stated to me about her ex " grown ass men don't EVER change there ways the time for change is before you turn 21." She goes on to say that Men and women once set in their ways they don't change." and of course i had to disagree because i tend to play devil's advocate and i like it soooo... disagreed... because I've seen lots of "Ladies men/playas/manwhores" and "Princesses/Hoes/playettes" go from "getting around" to married... and happily married not divorced or separated. ya see i view it like this people wont change unless they want to.... Like any other thing the will to win comes from within and without the will and the want to... it just wont happen. I say people can change you gotta want to and take the necessary step to do so. What do you think?

been slacking in the blogging scene but you are absolutely right. people change when the benefit outweighs the cost...you see people do it every day...not just with relationships but health causing them to change their diet, exercise etc...if you truly want something bad enough and you feel it is worth it...you do what needs to be done to make it happen.

where people get into trouble is EXPECTING change...that doesn't usually end well...you must be willing to accept who you have chosen...if change comes for the better than it is an added bonus

very well put by Dani...

i think the clear thing that your friend needs to understand is these "set in their ways" men has nothing to do with they can't change..they just don't want to...MORE people than most have a mentality of if it ain't broke don't fix it...so if it's workin for them then why change...

it is the few and far between that strive for better...and even if it isn't broke, it can always be better...

i think that her points are very valid, but are a knee jerk reaction to bad experiences...and perhaps she needs to pick from a different crop...
